Sentar provides a full range of system engineering expertise, covering all aspects of the system/acquisition life cycle from mission analysis and system requirements definition through development, product verification/validation, testing, deployment, and sustainment. Sentar systems engineering services are focused primarily on mission-critical missile defense applications, including command and control, battle management, sensors, and communications networks. Sentar staff members also provide technology services in support of systems engineering processes, such as sensor research, propulsion and power source research, network performance and information assurance evaluation tools, and modeling/simulation applications.
Sentar has performed significant systems engineering work for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other DoD customers. Examples of recent efforts include participation in missile defense system technical reviews; trade studies; and working groups addressing issues concerning threats, missile defense missions, technologies, and requirements. Sentar has also contributed to sensor management efforts for a debris mitigation trade study, and plays a major role in management of MDA Failure Reporting And Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and discrepancy review processes.
