DFARS & EXOSTAR

DoD Contractors are receiving directives from primes to update their EXOSTAR profile to reflect their DFARS CDI/NIST 800-171 Compliance.

EXOSTAR is a secure information sharing and collaboration environment used by several large prime contractors. It could be compared to an approved DropBox-type application. Many of the primes using EXOSTAR request that their subcontractors report their DFARS 252.204-7012 compliance status via a standardized form they have collectively agreed on using. This form must be completed by the subcontractor, and uploaded to EXOSTAR. If a subcontractor completes this task for a prime, and they later win a contract as a subcontractor, the subcontractor can share what was uploaded previously to their new prime, without going through the entire process again.

We are also a DoD Government solutions contractor that is experienced with the use of EXOSTAR, including our own DFARS Compliance reporting. Additionally, a large subset of the dozens of clients that hired Sentar to conduct their DFARS Assessment and Compliance efforts have uploaded their reports using EXOSTAR. Our Subject Matter Experts, therefore, are able to provide support for completing this process, which is included free of charge in addition to our NIST SP 800-171 compliance assessment solution.
