Appraisal rating reinforces the company’s commitment to quality in services and software development.
Huntsville, AL – April 26, 2019 – Sentar Inc. (Sentar), a Women-Owned Small Business specializing in advanced Cybersecurity and Intelligence services and technology, today announced that it has successfully been appraised at level 3 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)® for both Development (CMMI-DEV) and Services (CMMI-SVC). The appraisal was performed by Breakpoint Consulting Group.
CMMI is a capability improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance.
The appraisal at maturity level 3 indicates Sentar is performing at a “defined” level. At this level, processes are well characterized and understood, and are described in standards, procedures, tools, and methods, and that the set of standard processes, which is the basis for maturity level 3, is established and improved over time.
Sentar underwent a formal evaluation in which independent appraisers conducted a detailed capabilities assessment at the company’s headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The goal was to assess Sentar as a process-driven organization, and to certify the company as a mature provider of technology driven business solutions to existing and potential clients.
“Achieving CMMI® level 3 for Development and Services signifies another major milestone that demonstrates Sentar’s commitment to providing our customers with the highest quality standards,” said Bridget Abashian, president and CEO of Sentar. “This investment in our systems, infrastructure and processes will improve overall performance to our customers as we continue to provide them with the highest quality deliverables and services.”
The maturity level 3 appraisal successfully completed by Sentar further verifies standardized processes are implemented in accordance with established organizational policies.
