Stephen Pratt Elected to Board of Directors Responsible for 2017 National Cyber Summit

Sentar’s Stephen M. Pratt Appointed to Southeastern Cyber Security Foundation (SCSF) Board of Directors

Huntsville, AL – April 27, 2017 – Sentar, a Women-Owned Small Business, announced today Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, Stephen (Steve) M. Pratt has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Cyber Security Foundation (SCSF), a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization which conducts the annual National Cyber Summit, with the assistance of Cyber Huntsville and the North Alabama ISSA Chapter. 

Stephen (Steve) Pratt is a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Sentar, Inc. Steve has over 14 years of experience in the Information Technology and Cybersecurity fields. Steve’s career history reflects his extensive technical skills as well as his proven adeptness in leadership roles. Previous to joining Sentar, Steve was the IT Director and member of the IT Leadership team at QinetiQ North America, Steve served an integral role in the post-incident response activities to QinetiQ’s major cyber breech discovered in 2009. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Steve volunteers in many cybersecurity non-profit organizations. Steve currently serves on the Board of Directors of the North Alabama ISSA chapter, and is the Deputy Information Technology Sector Chief for the InfraGard Huntsville Members Alliance. Steve’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Steve holds multiple professional certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), CompTIA Security+, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), V3.

The National Cyber Summit is the preeminent event for cyber training, education and workforce development aimed at protecting our nation’s infrastructure from the ever-evolving cyber threat. The summit attracts thousands of attendees each year from commercial companies; healthcare, automotive, and energy industries; academia; Department of Defense organizations; and civilian departments and agencies including DHS, NIST, U.S. Army, NASA, TVA, NSF and DOE.
